Review: Roger Ascham and the King’s Lost Girl

Roger Ascham and the King's Lost Girl
Roger Ascham and the King’s Lost Girl by Matthew Reilly

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A short prequel to The Tournament, with our hero Roger Ascham sent by Henry the eighth to find his missing prostitute. Ascham discovers a horde of loose women tortured and experimented upon in a dungeon in Cambridge Castle by an Earl’s son training up to be a doctor at Cambridge University. The whole adventure takes one day. The Tournament can be read without reading the prequel. It’s a fun read.
